I don't see any sign of corrosion. The pins didn't come off the board.
They broke down at top of the base of header, at least 2 mm above the PCB.

Indeed ... the pins were in the connector, they were not visible but using a needle I found them.
So, they have been broken in the moment I touched the cable on the other side ...

@deimos, in your last test you are using EHB....

@deimos, in your last test you are using EHB. Assuming you are on OCS, then this almost halves the memory access slots for the CPU. If you reference is starglider then use 4 bitplanes.

Interesting, do you know how this speed up rendering. AFAIK on PC triple buffering is used when you don't want to be in sync with the vblank. On Amiga it is often used to store a pristine background....
