I had the same problem on my A1200 with 20GB ATA...

I had the same problem on my A1200 with 20GB ATA drive and normal buffered interface. The LED flickers a little -- kind of like it's turning off during activity.

File is called DMAPatch and is on the M-Tec disk, not the A2091 disk. Sorry I can't help more but I never had to use it because I had a Dataflyer (non-DMA) when I had my 68020i.

M-tec 68020i doesn't work with DMA SCSI controllers. There is a patch for A2091 on install disc that may work for A590 also.

Sorry, I only have a CSMK3 so no OS4 experience. But, you can decrease the SCSI seek time by disabling unused SCSI IDs and setting the LUN count to 1 on devices you are using.
