Wow, you might actually be onto something there haha! Take a look at the attatched picture. Battery removed but the leak doesn't look very nice. Not very surprising the machine hardly works the way...

Well, the battery has apparently leaked but not all over the motherboard. Not enough to cause these problems imo. However, if I do get it to work again I should really replace it with a new one.
