It wouldn't matter since you are adjusting an image... in essence Amiga just sends out display without any geometry changes. So all you need to configure is on TV side.

That is basically what service menu does anyway. Have you tried tweaking these with test card up? You should be able to adjust it so the relevant area of test card are in view.

If your TV has no options to adjust the signal inputted you are essentially going to have to rely on an external adaptor...

I think the disk loading built up the anticipation of playing the game.

Friends and family had consoles which were instant load. I envied it somewhat but didn't resent the Amiga because of it.

They can be tricky. I've avoided it for this reason because I was worried I'd damage pins by forcing it. Others have found a little compression on top works with heat pads or something non conductive.

To sort out overscan, you are better off using something like a "test card". If the geometry is out on the CRT, using another for comparison is unlikely to be helpful.

That's the reason why I stopped imaging. The drive became unusable and I think the multiple read attempts actually caused muck to transfer to my good disks in the end!
