I saw that file when I decrypted the (c)cinemare file, it's an encrypted executable but I don't think it's executed at all, at least I didn't see any calls to the code which decrypts and runs that...

If he's using the original PT2.3 replay routine the "lea mt_data,a0" is done in mt_init. I can't see that the module is in chip memory though which explains why you don't hear anything.
