Yeah, I really wonder what's happening in there. And I feel the problem is more severe with bullets in comparison to normal enemy objects....

I thought I have a reasonably fast bounding box collision detection running in asm for my game (a shmup), but at the moment this seems to take too many cycles when there a some shots on the screen.
