Afaik, PCMCIA is still dead under 3.1 ROM when using an 8Mb expansion card.
Unless anyone knows a fix for your card, (I think it's a Generic dis-order with 8Mb Expansions) it's 4Mb MAX with PCMCIA...

If you're using 16 x 16Mb SIMM's & they're only showing as 16Mb in total, it's only recognising each 16Mb Simm as 1Mb.
