Making it work...

Yes, I am. :)
It's less a sound card and more a music card. It's a card dedicated to streaming audio, not to playing spot effects - so if you're usage is music it's an excellent device. What...

You will never get the audio rock solid if you're doing lots of disk activity. If the process can't get the data (because another process is chewing up the data source, especially the slow IDE bus if...

No, that's not what the Prisma is about. The Prisma is a music card - the VS1063 is not a retargetable audio card. There's a lot more to it than just number of channels.

Even with 8 VS1063s on...

It's only really games that need more than 2 channels. My main aim with the AHI driver is just to be able to play weirder audio streams like SID tunes or emulator outputs, that sort of thing... where...

The Prisma can run a high bitrate mp3 on a 7MHz A2000.... the only difficulty is that it needs to keep the chip fed in a CIA interrupt so as long as the Amiga is able to service a hardware interrupt,...

That's all we need in this case, though. We need to get Paula audio in in stereo, and mix it with the decompressed audio.
This is what I mean when I say the AHI driver will be very limited - it will...

One thing I want to clarify:

This Prisma Megamix is not a sound card like a Prelude or a Delfina. I can't stress that enough. It's kind of like the MAS player except more useful, because it does...

Exactly. 3V tells the 68020 that there's nothing on the bus (same as 5V) but more importantly, what it tells me is that something's wrong.

I just shorted the /BR and /BOSS pins on the accelerator...

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but this may be useful.

I've been trying to fix an A1200 rev 2b motherboard which doesn't play nicely with my GVP 1230 Turbo+ card, with exactly the same...

Hi everybody,

Tony sent this machine to me (I do Amiga repairs on occasion), so I thought I'd update you all with what I found.

The first thing I did was find out why nothing was happening....

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but it might be useful.
I've just repaired an Amiga 4000 for someone who had the same problem (RMB always pressed, so early start-up appears with just LMB, and...

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to add IPF support to my Catweasel driver for AmigaOS4.
So far I've had some success (I booted DOS disks and even Powermonger the other day). I'm currently trying to get...

Well.. I changed all the 47uF caps. They're all through-hole, and they're all soldered properly to the solder pads _and_ the hole where possible.

The +5V line varies from 4.87V (the highest I had)...
