Well, it could certainly be a case of incompatibility with the Apollo core. But before blaming the cpu, I would suggest first trying MovieShop in a clean 3.1 or 3.1.4 system.

The 3.9 setpatch does not apply some fixes and has a few bugs of its own compared to the 3.1.4.1 version.

They are not meant to be interchangeable.
