Interestingly I was able to narrow down the Frontier crash issue on RC1/RC2/SPI, it only occurs when there is a CF card connected. Without a CF card connected it can run for hours.

Also easier said than done. Most of the stuff from China takes longer than 60 days to arrive and by that time you can't leave feedback or complain to ebay anymore since that is the arbitrary limit...

I built EzdineG's Kickstart adapter and got the TF530 working and fitting quite nicely inside the A1000 :)

The Kickstart adapter is a prerequisite for this to work but it's quite simple to build....
