could it possibly be worth removing other PCI cards that might interfere? I'm sure I read somewhere that USB PCI cards could sometimes interfere with the PPC card.

Apollo Team announces the Vampire V4

There has been some videos showing it working. They’re working out some kinks before they start selling it. I think that the biggest hurdle has been different types of memory and different FPGA.

Exactly. A vampire is essentially the same as installing a Blizzard card with BVision. I wouldn't say it's "half working", it works fine just as it is and offers more than other accelerators...
