It is really easy - just clear away stuff you do not need from sys:wbstartup, select conservative and simple Reaction settings (Reaction is really what is "heavy" in OS3.9), no fancy workbench...

Majority of PC keyboards today do not have the "right-windows" key, and instead only have "menu" key there, so I tend to map the "menu" key to "right-amiga".

Or, much rather, not use PC keyboard...
