I have MEM 0, MEM 1, MEM 2 active giving 8MB. To set it to 4MB I would have to remove the jumper from MEM 2.

I picked up a 2nd A500 on Ebay for £20. This one is advertised and fully working. If ok, I'll use the duff sound one for spares.
