I don’t think the rights are disaggregated by architecture. In theory, Cloanto/Hyperion could port their version of the OS to whatever they want. That’s my understanding of it, at least.

Right. My "chain of custody" theory is that Ed Mackey put it up on a BBS and that archive spread to other BBSs and then to CAM/Assassins/etc where it was crunched/modified for disk distribution....

I’m no expert, but the source for the internal serial driver appears to bang the hardware rather than use serial.device, so adapting it might be difficult. Can a real coder take a look at it? :)
