Not visible: 32GB Transcend card which I use as hard drive. I suspect the "generic" cards are also Kingston going from the data label at the back.

From what I read, this only fixes slow downs and such - it doesn't actually stop things from working, just fixes some inconveniences. I didn't want to screw around too much in case it caused more...

I did actually - I was worried one of the pins would be bent but nope, all looks OK. If the 4GB Sandisk doesn't work I'll have to consider corrosion as a reason - perhaps one of the pins doesn't...

Can't get CF PCMCIA to work

I bought a A1200 a few weeks back and it came with a PCMCIA-to-CF adapter as well as a few CF cards (mostly Kingston ones). Because the CF hard drive (using IDE-to-CF) was rather outdated when it...

From what I understand, the card has 4 holes especially designed so you can blow cool air through them, cooling down the chips underneath the Indivision card. With a heatsink you'd only affect the...

I had the same problem - Indivision getting hot resulting in flickering pixels. I used a few zip ties, one to anchor the corner through the hole in the card, the other by looping around the card and...

For all the talk about 3.1.4 being slow: I have a stock Amiga 1200 with 8MB fast RAM added and 3.1.4 runs just fine in high resolution interlaced with 64 colours. Looks very nice compared to "stock"...

I found your webpage as well but the reason I didn't go for yours, is that it doesn't mention the possibility of using the second button as "UP" which I found a very handy plus.

I love 8-way joysticks with nice & clicky buttons. Sanwa fits that bill pretty well! I also like Gameboy-style d-pads if they're of good enough quality. Ideally I'd like something not too big - since...

You're talking about second hand joysticks though - I'm not. Second hand ones are often worn down, mushy buttons, etc. The new ones on sale are mostly cheap Chinese knock offs of classic joysticks...

High quality joystick

Being new to the actual Amiga hardware I'm surprised how many games absolutely demand a joystick! Sensible Soccer back in my DOS days was played exclusively by keyboard and that's how I like it but...

Perhaps a little bit of an explanation first: the Amiga was not really well known here in Belgium - no-one I knew owned one and even the Commodore 64 was a rare machine. In 1993 my father bought a PC...
