Are there any good ASM tutorials on how one would take an off the shelf tracker loader (eg, RNC loader?) and use it to write code in the right format to a disk and likewise read it off...

Correct me if I'm wrong but for use with the phx ptplayer sound engine you will need the SFX samples to be in a raw format, not 8SVX. That's at least how I used it previously anyway!

I've just downloaded LHA 2.2 from aminet and that has extracted it fine :great

I think main difference is the big sprites. They're not present on the original but the walking bomb is more prevalent in the original as a result so I suppose it is horses for courses!
