I suppose if we're sanding down the ridges of the socket, the implication is the HP Lisa is slightly shorter, so the ridge reaches the board before it gets the top of the chip properly. I am not sure...

Thanks rkauer. The only reason I ask is that oddly, it looks like Indivision sanded the centre of the socket a tiny bit before sending it to me. Could be just a smear in the plastic though.

Thanks for all the info guys. It's such an elegant system IMO. When copying files between Mac/Windows/Linux I am often struck that much metadata is lost.
