Easy way to tell is to read your 4GB card to a file and compare sizes with the file you were trying to write. Writing the 4GB image to the 8GB card is a good way to rule out issues with the card...

I did some testing with the TF530 and GVP A500 HD+. It was mixed results and I can't recommend it - with the older GVP 3.7 rom I could kind of get the HD going but not with the latest 4.15. RAM...

Sounds like your RGB to VGA adapter is not buffered (it's straight through) meaning the A2000 thinks a genlock is configured.

Easiest fix is to get a buffered VGA adapter.
