I got one inside my A600...

I got one inside my A600 (http://deadcoderssociety.net/pics/a600v2.jpeg) with a big enough power switch. This is PicoPSU-80 (with Ian Stedman's Big Box ATX adaptor). Works like a treat :D

I tend to use "BSS sections with DSes" or just AllocMem().. when doing nasty stuff either build a memmap with EQUs or again using DSes.

Another possibility for nasty stuff is to scan execbase...

We are still talking fairly modest amount of blitts IMHO. Take e.g. a sinus scroller (lo- or hires) or similar where you do 320 to 640 blitts.. there the setup time starts to count more.
