Depends on what kind of image you create with the KF. If it is a raw image, you should cook it first to some format that the Amiga supports, then you could write it. Easy: Amiga ADF, PC IMG.

As long as it is an 8520 CIA in a DIP package, the A500 will take it just fine.

The -03 (8520PD) model is rated up to 2MHz, but that doesn't make any difference in this application.

Nah, just use the continuity mode on your multimeter to measure the traces. The 68000 is probably still fine, as long as the legs didn't fall off when you removed it, but I guess it isn't impossible...

Anyway, an A600 dual ROM will work exactly the same in an A500 rev6 or later.

Rev5 requires you to reroute one address line, some good search keywords might be a500 rev5 kickstart...

It's nice for a RAM disk, but the machine does really slow down once you hit the Zorrro3 ram board. It's noticeable even with my otherwise stock 25MHz A3000.
