This really would be the ultimate in debugging...

This really would be the ultimate in debugging technology. Just rewind after the crash to see what caused it.

I guess it would consume a tonne of resources and be a pain in the ass to code tho.

I tried lagless vsync on a an Alienware m15. With the built in monitor the refresh was slow and jerky. With an external gsync monitor is was silky smooth but everything ran way too fast.

Your solutions are almost always faster than mine, but I did normally stop at any perfect solution I could find.
