Games supporting MT-32: do they also use standard audio simultaneously?

Planning to try out the MT-32 with KQ5 and other whdload games supporting MT-32. Do I need to "mix down" both MT-32 and the standard audio, or is the it only MT-32 that will then handle FX also?

Risks of trying out an old MIDI interface?

Running a recapped A600 with Furia and 2MB chip, KS31. The machine works flawlessly and I wanted to try out the few MT-32 compatible games (whdload).

I bought a second hand used MIDI interface....

Solved. It was indeed Windows 10 doing its magic... The problem was the combination of not running the Winuae as Administrator and/or not cleaning the sd card with diskpart before partitioning it.
