I mean to say where you have 040 or 060 I imagine WHDLoad is your only option to run some games and it serves a crucial purpose. See SWOS slowdown issue for example.

ADF/IPF is my preferred choice vs WHDLoad due to bug testing reasons. With WHDLoad you are essentially playing a beta version and too often in my experience the game will crash or fail at some point....
