Mmm, I just tried Quake 2 with software rendering only and that crashed too. So would that start to rule out the Mediator too (still running over the Voodoo)? So either power or CSPPC is at fault....

I always have a bit of a struggle before the PPC version works. What I mostly do is first run non PPC with software rendering, than run it with software rendering and then try the PPC version.
