You can configure OpenAL to use ALSA output directly. But you need to pay attention, that you don't get an ALSA -> Pulse -> ALSA routing. Check, remove/backup /etc/asound.conf

In v3.0.0 screen format toggle is now alt+z. (Actually it's alt+y with a german keyboard layout.)
To get the old behavior back put this in your config file:

Nice side effect: It also works on stock A1200 if you disable cpu caches and AGA in early startup menu.
