Yes, you need to fill the polygon in the scratch area... but this only needs to be a one bitplane polygon

I guess that you want to draw and fill whole convex shapes in one go, and then cookie cut...

Your scratch area only needs to be one bitplane size.

You can then "OR" the polygon from the scratch area to the bitplanes it is required on,...

as long as you know your range is within a word, you are usually fine (D0 is sign extended before being added as a long to A0 AFAIK)

yeah, for AGA and A1200+ perhaps can use 2x2 bitmap scaling... but the advantage of the copper screen is that you can have full bitplane usage over the top

Yep, any game that's pushing to the edge of 50 or 25fps will slow down horribly on NTSC machines.... a game needs designing with NTSC in mind if you want it to perform well on both systems

No, you'd just interpret the native Z80 code on the Amiga... either realtime (slow) or by pre-processing it into equivalent 68000 instructions... (faster)
