My other favorite systems are the Atari 8 bit computer systems, the ST's sucked!! Also the Tandy CoCo 3 was an awesome 8 bit system, and it ran OS/9 which was a UNIX variant.

Let's don't forget Minix either. It will work on a base 500, or 68040 with HD support. Back in the day, early 1992, I dual booted my 3000 between AmigaOS and Minix. True it's only a text mode version...

Debian/GNU Linux has a disto for 68020 or greater CPU's. Also FreeBSD. But for CPU's less than a 68020 you will have to use Minix.
