I have a factory CD32 disc of Zool labeled as NTSC, but it's actually just the PAL version. It doesn't even run correctly unless the CD32 is switched over to PAL.

Although I had a lot of fun playing Superfrog, my biggest gripe with it was the NTSC version was just rebranded PAL. I don't think they did ANY conversion for it.

Those compilation discs are usually filled with data, same with audio cds. Maybe the problem is related to being able to read the disc properly...

Have you opened the machine up and checked the caps you replaced? Maybe its possible that one was a dud?

I don't remember having any issues with WHDLoad CD32 versions, other than they typically run a little slower than running direct from CD (Zool 2 is a prime example) and you lose CD-audio.
