Hmmso it IS fw dependent. Well I only have Cortex for the time being, will put HxC soon, but would be good to find an USB stick that works with both.

After running through a bunch of issues this...
After running through a bunch of issues this weekend I have realized that the Gotek is pickier with which USB sticks you put in it than I originally thought, at least running Cortex firmware.

Does this not depend on the software being used as a launcher? I believe Jeff can make it load as many as you want, I guess. Doesn't seem like a hardware/firmware limitation.

That model is annoying. It has given me trouble with my 1541U-II as well. Something about it makes it a bit incompatible I guess. It works with some things but doesn't with others.
My iBook G4 also...
