Ive found that four strategically placed rubber...

Ive found that four strategically placed rubber washers (to 'push' the cd unit a fraction higher) can work miracles, as the rubber mounts after 20+ years tend to sit ever so slightly lower.

I'm fairly sure the 040 needs initialised via software, when done the accelerator 'remembers' this configuration and on next boot will have the 040 enabled. I also remember the 040 needing switched...
