Thanks, seems to work OK now with writing a linefeed for each filemark to index.tape.

After writing several filemarks in a row and rewinding, I noticed an issue with using SPACE to move forward...

The way WinUAE emulates writing filemarks is quite broken at the moment.

If you manually create an emulated tape by editing index.tape to contain e.g.
file1
file2
file3
with a linefeed after...

It's probably guaranteed that a real Amix tape has a filemark after the last file, since Commodore made them like that. :)

Most Unix tape drivers probably automatically write a filemark when the...

I'll see whether the Amix tape contains source for its tape driver. That could be helpful in figuring out any special requirements it has.

There's another place where WinUAE is returning sense data with additional sense length byte zero. If you restore a QB backup, notice some lines like this in the log:

Ah thanks. I initially pointed WinUAE to an empty directory for the tape drive.

When QuarterBack wrote to the tape, WinUAE created index.tape and 00000.tape, 00001.tape. But on reading back WinUAE...
