the flicker is probably there because 8MB is just not enough to entirely preload...

But main issue is that game is complex. It's running from fastmem. The hunk I had to relocate in chip is a data hunk.
@Scott does it quit without any error?

When quitting a whdload game with quitkey on a sierra MT32 game when MT32 replay is active, the sound remains.
Is there a command to send (using serial.device) to stop the midi sound?
