HC aren't 5V tolerant when powered from 3,3V.
HCT are TTL compatible, but must be powered from ~5V, so they won't work either.
Additionally, HC(T) are much slower than LVC - how much of a role that...

I suspect it's the specific pixel color transitions causing the glitches, like e.g. high contrast ones - you compared different versions of xcopy - do they have the exact same graphics in the glitchy...

If I'm not completely crazy, the clock for the flipflops is twice (14MHz) the frequency of the clock going to the Pi (PiClk), hence my assumption that it samples on both edges (to support hires).

So I received my prototype pcb's for my attempt at a videoslot version of the RGBtoHDMI project today.
Instead of immediately populating a pcb, I dug out my oscilloscope and added some patch wires...

If you mean the reflective vector objects, they're "just" stencil vectors, i.e. instead of filling with a solid color, you fill with a bitmap - it does look rather convincing, though :)

Requesting info on video slot clocks
Is there any (C= official?) timing diagrams available for the video clock signals (CDAC, C1, C3, C4, C28O) showing the relationship of these to the digital RGB outputs of Denise/Lisa?

And not forgetting setting the VBR to zero.

On the rev 8 there has to be jumpers to switch between 512kB/512kB and 1MB since it's used for both A500 and A500+ - I think you need a trapdoor expansion for the 512kB slowfast though (rendering...

As far as I know, The A500's with rev 8 boards were configured just like an A500 - 512KB chip, 512KB slowfast if you add a trapdoor expansion, no clock/battery, Kick 1.3.
I'm not sure which Agnus...

I'm not sure what you mean by "target an instruction", but if you're trying to check if e.g. a vector in an OS library is available, you should check the version of the library, not the kickstart.

Yes, this is a common problem of simple 14MHz "accelerators". The CIAs are clocked by the 'E' clock signal from the 68000, which is doubled when you double the cpu clock. The 'E' clock is something...

That's an interesting idea - I think the same solution could work in all models. If not, maybe a jumper for the pixel clock might be needed to also support A4000.
Edit: The A4000 video slot is...
