I'm not sure you know but the Vampire has an FPU, in fact its FPU is the fastest there is in the 68k world. It lacks some bits of precision internally but this doesn't affect Lightwave at all.

Personally I would always prefer an accelerator that entirely resides inside the Amiga. If it has a magnitude more power than any ACA like the V500 does, even better.
