Thanx for youe response :-) Yes , I used the original cable with the red marking, (its a 3,5" to 2,5" cable ), one of the line was broken and is now fixed so the drive worked fine with the A-1200...

The thing is that the motherboard is unstable. It works for a while and then it just dies. I can power it up again and the same thing will happen so I thought maybe it could be some bad capacitors...
