Wink A novelty emulation treat

Here are some tiny arcade conversion games to play on Windows while the boss is away signing boring paper work . And they quite literally are tiny, dudes. You'll understand what I mean when/if you see for yourself.

Maybe you need those things which come with windows. What was it. Accesibility accesories? The one with the zoom function.

Tiny Asteroids has a command line based option thing in which you can choose how big the window should be when you start it up. You can play it up to a maximum window size of 512x512 (very useful for those with slight sight (tee-hee, slight sight sight slight! ) problems), and a minimum window size of 48x48 (I don't know why they even bothered doing this though, since the default window size used is 64x64!).

Akira, I see your point with MAME. But it's just a shame that MAME has recently become slower and slower with each release! I mean, Final Burn can emulate After Burner 1 & 2 better and faster! So why is MAME slow on all OS versions (DOSMame, WinMame & Mame32)?

It's slow because MAME's emphasize is in cross-platform compatibility, and not on speed.

Question

Marz-If MAME is "Slowing down", it probably,(sadly), means like WinUAE & other such projects, need more CPU grunt to cope with all the newer roms being added.

BTW-I saw they added classic games like Op Wolf,Operation Thunderbolt & Chase HQ. How well are these games running?

I hadn't bothered upgrading MAME32 since the 036final release, (Most of the games I enjoyed playing run fine on this version anyway.)

Chase hq runs pretty well on Mame ver. 57 ( I think that's the latest version )

My computer isn't that fast though, (P2 350 mhz), so some of the later games run abit choppily. I play Darkstalkers, for instance, on Final Burn Alpha for better performance.

Tee-hee-hee, I can imagine the MAME team saying to someone, "Sorry dude, we don't do speed. We're clean." :laugh
