Happy Anyone seen the latest Edge magazine

It's a monthly UK games magazine which all the games developers buy cos it's great. Anyway they do a "making of" each month. This month it's none other than the making of....Sensible Soccer. It's a very interesting read to say the least. All UK EAB readers should go buy it and find out all the secrets behind Sensi Soccers creation. Long live Edge magazine and Sensi Soccer

Edge also did a great article called something like "The Best PC Ever", which was six or seven pages about the Amiga. Maybe I should try and scan it.

They look to the future, but have a healthy respect for the past.

I've just had a read of Malcolms letter in Edge and it is a very interesting read. Talking about how he has no more time to play games that demand 100+ hours of playtime when they should be going back to the good old 80s when it was a fast, instant manic fix. Great letter. I totally agree with him. It seems the older you get the less and less time you get to play games.

I was talking about that with a friend... the older I get, the more towards to actions games I get.... when I was younger I used to play those long games like Dune 2 and K240.. and now all I play are shmups, platformers and puzzles

And then we noticed that, action games are usually just 15-minutes blasts... that's probably the reason, as we get older, we have less time to play games, so we just stick with the ones that can be played quickly..

Yeah, it's damned right, I have the same 'syndrome', not being able to play long games like Secret of mana because of my tight schedules

I told you it was good steve . Malc writes excellent stuff!

Big grin Great letter

Tell him well done from me for getting his letter printed. And congratulations for writing a very interesting and thought provoking letter. I hope to see more like that in Edge. I'll be looking for his name.
