HDD GUI expansion and something else

I would like to ask if will possible to add on/off check box to every single hard drives on list like floppy drivers in configuration panel?

Another think I thought about is possibility to move program configuration from registry to configuration file with will based e.g. in program directory. Configuration could be activated by parameter in shortcut or just by auto detection of file.

What You thing about this Toni?

P.S. Sorry for my English is not perfect jet.

- I agree on the ability to not use the registry for configuration data.
I hate having to uncheck start in quickstart mode each time i insert my amiga usb stick in a new machine. Altough there might be other ways around this (havn't fully cheked out windows autorun features yet)
- checkboxes to disable harddrives would be cool but personally i wouldn't use it that much.

Good idea, not so easy to implement without breaking configuration backwards compatibility (harddrive configuration is not very well designed. I am planning to create new very different method in future with backwards compatibility entries added)

possible by using .ini file functions instead of registry functions (if using magic command line parameter) but i don't think .ini supports tree-like registry paths.. I'll think about it..

.ini because I refuse to write my own registry-like functions.

Optional registry "replacement" will be in next beta.

- winuae.ini in same directory as winuae.exe or in configurations-directory: automatically use winuae.ini as registry replacement
- use command line parameter, -ini <path>
- no winuae.ini or command line: registry used normally

(I didn't really want to implement this but I still wanted to clean up registry handling and this was good enough reason..)

I wish ALL windows progs would use the good-old .INI/.CFG based settings-saving-scheme...
I am glad Toni decided to implement this,

I don't and perhaps it is better to not implement this after all..
