So who is the resident Lord of the Rings freak and Amiga historian? CodyJ? Twistin'? How many LOTR-themed games were released on Amiga? Right now all I can remember are:
War in Middle Earth Moria (or The Dungeons of Moria. A PD game, although I don't know how much it depends on LOTR) I'm certain this will turn into a game request eventually. My curiousity was sparked when I saw this crack screen on Superstar Ice Hockey: |

How about this groovy link, Tolkien computer games for the Commodore Amiga!
http://www.spowers.net/Tolkien/tolkien-games/amiga.html Loads of nifty resources, images, links, etc. Have fun! ![]() Oh yeah...the main page at that site is also noteworthy to any fan of Tolkien-themed games. http://www.spowers.net/Tolkien/tolkien-games/ |

I'd say Twistin' and Cody both have a real grasp on Amiga knowledge, as far as the software is concerned. My guess would be the same for the hardware side as well
![]() My knowledge used to be really great back in the early 90's but since then I've only dabbled with my Amiga's and have to clean out the cobwebs before it starts to filter back into memory

My hardware knowledge is somewhat limited because I always had guys like Pyromania around, so I never had to learn that side of it. And now that he's back on the scene, I can still remain lazy on hardware knowledge and just ask him when I need to know something.
![]() I'm not an idiot about hardware, but conversely Pyromania is so hardware prolific, I'd call him a ner...[SNIP!] |

Also, I think that the Jewels Of Darkness Trilogy (Adventure Quest, Colossal Adventure, Dungeon Adventure) were originally to be released as some sort of Middle-Earth Trilogy. I think it was changed to avoid copyright issues with The Lord Of The Rings.

And here's another LOTR game and probably now holder of the longest title in my database:
Seņor De Los Anillos Primera Parte: La Comunidad del Anillo, El (Lord Of The Rings Part 1: The Fellowship Of The Ring, The) It's a Spanish game which seems to have been released as a demo in 1991, with the full version sold for 2000 pts. I think that it was made freeware in February 1996. I'm not sure if it was an 'official' LOTR game. I've uploaded it to the Zone. PS - I've just noticed that it's mentioned in one of the links above. |

Probably not, seems that there has always been plagerism since the dawn of time, now with things like IP it's getting to be kinda hard not to anymore
But of course there is this example of possible out and out stealing.

Some of the graphics are taken from other Amiga LOTR games too. Maybe they thought it wouldn't be seen outside of Spain!
