If it had been done, it's not likely to have gone ahead unannounced.

Only if we have a filter to remove the stupid Tapatalk post-script from every single post made from it...

pretty easy writing a greasemonkey script that filters out the tapatalk signature. I love tapatalk. not that i use it much, but if i had more forums supporting it i would.

Easier to not have to. 'Specially as not all browsers have GreaseMonkey.

Well, all browsers beside IE has some kind of greasemonkey support, and if you really don't want to see a particular signature, I would really think you would bother to use one of those browsers. or for that matter choose a different framework for user scripts that is supported in this silly excuse for a browser that is IE.

Beside that, one could filter it out serverside. that would be even easier.

Lets not overthink this.. We dont want to force people to use a browser (yes, we all know IE is sh!te) but removing the Tapatalk sigs server side works without making anyone have to change their browser so lets go with that...

Oh? K-Meleon doesn't. And what about Amiga browsers? iBrowse sure as heck doesn't support GreaseMonkey. There are other browsers out there besides the big names, you know.

Is there any free alternative to Tapatalk? I wouldn't buy it just to visit the 2 boards I visit.

I use it for nearly all boards I visit on the go. It's great and I don't mind the buck for comfortable access on the road. I don't think there's a Tapatalk alternative. But sometimes something paid for is better than nothing...

I know it's cool but as I said, I only visit 2 boards and not as much as I used to, so it wouldn't be justified for me. i always appreciate free alternatives.
