Pussies Galore

I remember reading about this game in an Amiga magazine, it was an upcoming platform game called Pussies Galore (or Pussys Galore or something). You played as a cat with a gun, similar to Ruff n Tumble I guess, but with more cutesy animal sprites. It looked really good too, what ever happened to it?

Was a game that Team 17 were working on.

Here's the HOL record

Was also previewed in Amiga Format 70; CU Amiga Magazine (Jan 1995) and Amiga Power 45 (scans in the Zone).

Preview from Amiga Computing 82 in the Zone

For a Team 17 it actually looked visually pleasing. A pity this wasn't finished or wasn't leaked.

Ultron 05 December 2006 20:24

It says it's AGA, did it use 256 colours? It's actually mindboggling how the AGA 256 colour chipset pretty much went unused 'till Commodore tanked :(

viddi 06 December 2006 09:23

@ Ultron:

Amiga Games said they used 64 colours.

I agree, but horses for courses eh!

mombasajoe 11 December 2006 12:35

Hmmmm...when I saw the headline "pussies galore" I first have thought about something totally different :D

DamienD 11 December 2006 13:37

What James Bond? (although that's Pussy Galore) :cheese

Has anyone ever tried to contact members of the development team of that game? It was previewed in several magazines and from the screenshots it looks rather finished. The programmer Andy Coates seems to be on Linkedin so he could probably be contacted easily. Does anybody know if there have ever been any attempts to see if anything of this game actually survived?

Cherno 13 May 2022 21:32

13 replies and almost 3000 views. Hmmm...
