Artist name: Wszyscy Powyżsi

http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?N_ref_artist=6805

It's not a name, "wszyscy powyżsi" means "all of the above" :D

s2325 03 February 2012 16:48

and I think "Grzegorz Murgrabia" and "Radoslaw Kniaz" are not real names: http://hol.abime.net/5091

Shoonay 03 February 2012 16:58

And why's that?
They're both listed in the intro, they have nothing "strange" about their names (aside the fact that murgrabia is an archaism), and there are several people in Poland with such names:

s2325 03 February 2012 16:59

I think their names are made to fit medieval times of Tyran.

Shoonay 03 February 2012 17:00

Yes, and because of Tyran over 300 people in Poland were named liked that... :rolleyes
Over 700 in case of Kniaź.

s2325 03 February 2012 17:04

But not in one game.

Shoonay 03 February 2012 17:05

Oh, that definitely proves it... :laughing

Perhaps that is actually a nickname for someone who is a very wanted criminal like that Prawo Jazdy in Ireland and wants to remain incognito. Unless he is of course a descendant of the famous captain Incognito (default name in Pirates!). ;)

Thanks, fixed.

I'll try and take a look at Tyran to see if there is any obvious hint the names could be invented or not.

I asked on PPA.pl

lilalurl 03 February 2012 17:49

Hehe.

"Grzegorz Murgrabia" and "Radoslaw Kniaz" are listed among other people in their respective categories (the credits are in the intro) so it is very likely they are actual people. I will upload screenshots to the Zone! if you want to check

Can you guys confirm that "Pomyst" or more likely "Pomyl"* means "idea"?
And what does does "Pomogli" means? Google translate gives "Cell". Perhaps "cel" from cel animation?

*: Actually, it seems like you people have a letter that looks like a t but with a diagonal upper part rather than an horizontal one.
Just after looking on Wikipedia I believe it is in fact a l with stroke:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%81

Edit: Just saw the above post. Thanks for asking.

Shoonay 03 February 2012 17:51

Yes, "pomysł" means "an idea", "pomogli" means (they) "helped".

lilalurl 03 February 2012 18:14

Thanks for your pomogliing.

Naprawa Samochodów isn't a real name, either (visited...). I do like Polish!

Shoonay 03 February 2012 20:55
