Metal Warrior (1993)

Anybody up to the task of doing an install for this nifty PD game ? :)
An adf is available here just in case.

Second that! :)

Shouldn't be much of a problem, I'll see about doing a WHDLoad slave for it.

Retroplay 31 July 2011 14:10

Any news on this one ?

Retro-Nerd 02 December 2011 19:41

We need more early Xmas presents. :xmas ;)

StingRay 02 December 2011 20:12

Hmm, I might play Santa, we'll see. :) :xmas

Here is a first beta of the WHDLoad patch. CUSTOM1=1 enables built-in cheatmode. The patch needs an installed Kick 1.3 ROM (I also made a slave which works without a Kick ROM but it doesn't work correctly yet). Preinstalled version attached. :xmas

Thanks a ton StingRay it works great.
I made to the outskirts of the city and got wasted by the tank, even highscore got saved. :great

Looks good so far. Any chance, that you map the game menu (load save talk etc.) on a second button? :)

That's perfectly possible. Next update will include "CUSTOM2=1" tooltype which will enable 2nd button support for the menu. :)

I have finally created the install package for this patch too, 2nd fire button is supported. Enjoy. :)

Retroplay 13 May 2013 23:32

Thanks :great

StingRay 13 May 2013 23:35

:) Another one off the "install package needs to be created" list, feels good. :D

Retro-Nerd 13 May 2013 23:42

Nice work, as always. Damn, the C64 version wasn't that hard, iirc. :)

StingRay 13 May 2013 23:47

It's a hard but nice game. Unlimited energy trainer should make it a "little bit" easier. :D
