Putty Squad on PS2?

Seemingly.

They mentioned the Amigaversion of Putty Squad in some Retro magazine, some people are trying to get it released Putty Squad thread at aw.net

I'll buy that, if I can get my hands on it. I played Putty Squad many times using zsnes, absolutely love it. Although I also played a (buggy) demo for the PC which had a few sounds that were cooler (especially the voice of that cat dude that tries to kick you and then drops a bomb).

Is the PS2 release the Amiga version or the SNES version? And is it really the unreleased Putty Squad or a version of the first Putty game?

We can only wish them luck, a search around here should reveal any no. of threads related to the immortal Putty Squad. If I recall correctly contact was made with John Twiddy whom was established as main programmer of Putty Squad,& that he'd still possibly had the source files, but nothing more was ever heard. Without revealing sources an EAB/Lemon Amiga member here did make contact with Dan Phillips but he'd again seemed to felt John Twiddy would be the main hope of having anything much Putty related.
Geez, just looked back on that PM too, 10th Dec 2004,time flies!:D

Seems its not the only one. Impossible Mission, Summer Games, International Karate & Robocod are all due for release for PS2 at the end of the year. These are all being released by a publisher called "Play it".
