Hi,
Im using Cloanto Amiga Forever v5.0, its fantastic, i use a router for my net connection, and under the Miggy emulation i can FTP, so easy no setting up etc, but how can i use http ?

I think you need a TCP/IP stack like Miami or similar. I'm sure others out there know more about this then I do ;)

I've not yet tried connecting either my real Amiga's nor an emulated one to the net yet :D

the emulator connects to the net on FTP already :) this i find is so damm slick...

WinUAE has a TCP/IP stack built in. If you enable bsdsocket.library emulation (which is default in AF5 IIRC), you don't need a sperate stack, WinUAE uses the Windows' one.

If you can use FTP, you can use any other protocol, too, where is the problem ? Just get a web browser, an e-mail program, an IRC client, everything you want. Search Aminet's comm directory.

Good info thomas, I didn't realize that the bsdsocket would do that, guess I should read the WinUAE notes more closely ;)

Download A-Web II from the Aminet, it's free and works great.
