msx disk

Is it possible to mount msx disks ?
I tried with latest versions of winuae because now we can mount atari disk, and because msx disk can be read directly on atari st, but it doesn't work.

Hey turrican3,

What's the deal on msx disks? I've not heard of this type. Are they disk images like msa? Or are they interchangeable with (i.e., same as ;)) msa? :confused

Thanks,

prowler

The MSX is a Japanese 8-bit computer. ;)

Hi prowler,

I think turrican3 is talking about this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSX ;)

Edit : Retro beat me again :D

Of course it is! :nuts

I thought maybe turrican3 had simply mis-typed 'msa' because of his reference to Atari disks and the ST, but I wasn't sure. ;)

I'm not quite so interested now. :sad

Sorry,

Hi Turrican,

MSX disk format is compatible with PC MS-DOS, you can access MSX disk files simply mounting a crossDOS unit like PC0: (it uses mfm.device)

ok i suppose that even if winuae support it i have to use a mount list for the wb.
thanks for the help, i will try

turrican3 30 December 2008 02:11

ok it works very well !
Just for fun Toni, you should write you support msx disk.

Toni Wilen 30 December 2008 09:52

Now I am confused. Floppy image type has to be supported and working correctly if PC0: can read it..

What exactly are you trying to do?

turrican3 30 December 2008 16:06

i just tried to read msx disk, and it works well.
I have to mount pc0, yes and it works.
I just did to manage msx disk.
