Version 1.50 does not recognise ROMS - Vista 32 sp1 4gig 8800 . Version 1.5beta21 ok

Hi,

I use WinUAE in conjunction with Amiga Forever.

I upgraded the software using the update to the 1.5 version, however now cannot get WinUAE to recongnise the Roms.

I uninstalled everything, then ran WinUAE off the AF CD, which is the older version 1.5beta21 and it read the Roms OK.

I've used version 1.46 previously, with no ROM problems.

Does anyone know of a bug where the new version of 1.5 does not recognise ROMs as valid.

It doesnt matter where I locate or copy the Roms to. Version 1.5 just says the roms in the directory are unavailable. 1.5beta21 recognises the Roms as available.

The Roms I have are the ones from the AE distribution, including the included rom.key

My roms are dated 4/05/2006 10:48 AM, rom.key 4/05/2006 10:35

Fixed in 1.5.1beta3
-allowing roms for AE outside of certain directory

This might affect a lot of people, perhaps the AE people need to put 1.5.1b3 on the autoupdate list..... its unfortunate that the autoupdate to 1.5 broke my setup....

Great app BTW, loving the WinUAE.

Ooops, typo, AE should say AF (Amiga Forever).

Are you sure you don't have 2 different rom.key files? WinUAE gets confused because it does not know which one is the real one to use.
