A New 1084S-D2 OR A2320 Scandoubler
Hi All
I been given an opportunity to get a NEW NEVER USED STILL IN BOX Amiga 1084S-D2 Monitor or a second hand A2320 Scandoubler card for my Amiga A2000 plus A new 15” LCD screen Which one should I take? Storm:xmas |
Without a doubt, I'd get the new 1084 monitor.
Amiga graphics look like chunky shit on an LCD monitor. I bought a scandoubler a few years ago to use with an LCD monitor and I was horribly disappointed. Maybe I just got a bad scandoubler, but it felt like my real Amiga had turned into a slow jerky emulated Amiga. I quickly returned the scandoubler and went back to the 1084. Where the hell did you find a brand new 1084?? I need a few. |

:xmas Hi Mr. A500
I found it on Australia EBay and I asked the same question this was his reply “In regard to your question why do I have a new monitor? I was a Commodore Dealer from the VIC 20 days until Commodores final demise in the early nineties. I still have a lot of new items from then which I have finally decided to clean up. If you have a look at my other listings on E-Bay you will see that I have a variety of Amiga items - most all brand new and unused” Go here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....DME:L:RTQ:AU:1 |
Damn, it's no good for me - it's PAL and he ships to Australia only. :crying Well, shipping to Canada would be a killer anyway. Something that heavy needs to be bought locally.
I think the 1084 is a great monitor. My first one lasted 15 years until it died. I'd love to get a brand new one so I could be guaranteed another 10-15 years. My biggest worry right now is that my second used 1084 will die. |

never say you've won something on eBay until the auction is over and the goods delivered..

"The CD-ROM drive installs easily. No Software installation is required; the built-in software takes care of both CDTV and CD-ROM use. No extra hardware is needed either; when playing CDTV titles, you can continue to use your Amiga’s keyboard, mouse and monitor for input and display"
Dont you just love plug and play on the amiga a decade ago as to where PC's need drivers and didnt have as good plug and play as the amiga |
