The amiga hdd installer
 

hey everyone can anyone point me in the right direction for setting up/using the official wb hdd installer that I can use in the installation of my new game Black Dawn rebirth instead of writing my own? Cant find any info on using it

I think the format (it's actually a Lisp dialect) must originally have been documented either in Commodore's AmigaMail or in the proceedings of one of the later DevCons. You'll find the docs on the Amiga developer CDs.

Installers are generally used for apps which need files copied to various locations.

Why would a game have any need for one? Surely it'd just be copying a directory from one place to another, a task that could be easily achieved with one command.
