It's that kind of behavior, that drives retro prices sky-high and really makes it difficult to afford for the rest of us. Shame on those guys that willingly buy overinflated games :bash

Well, I've had a 'get real' bypass and am ignoring the games 'I really want new sealed'! I have the money for them but I can't justify spending £130 for one game.... Some folk would happily pay that for some Neo Geo titles... but gah it's soooo annoying! £50 I'd be happy to...

maybe I could offer something 'reasonable' and see what he says.

What about folk paying almost £1000 for PPC hardware, now that is insane!

Go ahead and offer what you're willing to pay mate, at the end of the day they're only worth what someone is willing to pay for them and a half decent offer he might just take. Perhaps he is human after all ;)

I agree, but it would probably depend on how long he's been re-listing it :blased

I've seen before where "sealed" is simply where they seal it themselves. They then deny that they implied it was "factory sealed".

They really do that? That's just wrong! :sad :scream :bash

Personally I think ebay is evil or other people shouldn't be allowed to bid on stuff I want

I was browsing the £65 CD I bought for others.... there are two more on eBay right now between £150 - £200

I honestly think the release of the these new nicely priced A600/A1200 accelerators will mean the death of most other more expensive boards... If i decide to get aother A1200 then i probably won't bother with a Blizzard if i can get a brand new board + warranty for less :)

Lol yeah I know.. I'm really just trying my luck then I can buy the ACA630 and Indi ECS. Not about to sell it at a loss so in that case I'll just hang onto it as its a great little card.

Thanks mate :great

Yep, I agree 100%

I'm not too worried either way. If it sells great, if not I'm happy to box it up as its still a rare card and will hold its value in the long term.

Don't forget as great as these new ACA cards are they don't have the SCSI or support the same levels of Ram the Blizzards do, I honestly still think the Blizzard 1230MkIV is the best thing for an A1200 but at least now we have a nice new choice on the market and those ebay sellers with overpriced blizzards are getting what they deserve LOL

Steve.

This is a bit of an oddball A1500:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Amiga-1500-3rd...item483dac92f2

Not sure what to make of it? Never seen one before. Maybe it's just an alternative look for the A500 as it uses an A500 motherboard? Or a custom job :confused

s2325 19 November 2010 17:03

rare but very yellow...

DDNI 19 November 2010 17:12

I may be way off here, bit isn't that the checkmate one that drove C= to produce their own A1500?

EDIT
A quick google shows that this is indeed the case.

It's a horrendous looking thing!

I prefer the Bodega Bay A500 expansion:

Still ugly though :D
